A corruption case has been filed at the Special Court against seven individuals, including Pradeep Adhikari, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed the case against Director General Adhikari, Director of the CAAN Murari Bhandari, Deputy Manager Samriddhi Shrestha; Manager Nal Bikram Thapa, Bijaya Thapa Guru Datta Adhikari and an engineering company.
According to Krishna Sharan Lamichhane, spokesperson of the Special Court, a recovery claim of Rs 135,746,213.76 has been made against each defendant.
The case has been filed in connection with corruption related to the construction of the Nalinchok helipad in Bhaktapur.
