Kathmandu, February 13
Actress Mahima Silwal and her sister Sharmila died when the scooter they were riding collided with a bus at Chambas, Gajuri rural municipality-3 of Dhading district on Wednesday.
Both were seriously injured in the accident. Later, Mahima succumbed to injuries at Primary Healthcare Centre at Gajuri while Sharmila breathed her last at National Trauma Centre in Kathmandu.
The sisters, residents of Gitanagar, Bharatpur metropolitan city-13 in Chitwan, were on the scooter (Ba 98 Pa 7058) when they collided with the bus (Lu 2 Kha 135) travelling from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu at 6 pm yesterday, informed the police.
Police have impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver for further investigation.
