Acharya appointed Nepali ambassador to India

Kathmandu, February 3

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Nilamber Acharya as the new Nepali Ambassador to New Delhi.

Acharya, who was nominated to the post by the Oli government, was appointed to the post after the Parliamentary Hearing Committee approved his candidacy.

Acharya was appointed to the post as per Article 282 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, the President’s office said in a statement. Acharya was administered his oath of office by the President on Sunday.
