A new party formed after Janata Samajwadi Party split

Kathmandu, May 6

Ashok Rai, who split the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) and formed a new party, has also appointed its members.

The proposed Janata Samajwadi Party has Ashok Rai as its president. Rajendra Shrestha is the chairperson of the federal council and Renu Yadav has been appointed as the co-chairperson.

The new party has four vice-presidents namely Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi, Randhwaj Limbu, Parashuram Basnet and Sushila Shrestha. Sushila Shrestha is also the wife of Chairperson Ashok Rai.

Mohammad Istiyak Rai is the general secretary, Pradeep Yadav is the deputy secretary, Deepak Karki and Ranju Thakur are the secretaries and Birendra Mahato is the treasurer.

Rajeshman Singh, Mayor of Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality, has also joined the new party.
