Kathmandu, September 9
Prime Minister Balen Shah has begun high-level discussions with the chiefs of all three security agencies.
According to his secretariat, PM Shah initiated the discussions with the aim of receiving a detailed briefing on the situation created by the flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 26, as well as on overall search, rescue, relief distribution, and treatment efforts, and to issue necessary directives.
At the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, discussions are currently underway with Chief of the Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel.
His secretariat said that immediately after the discussion with Army Chief Sigdel, the PM’s schedule also includes meetings with Nepal Police Inspector General Dan Bahadur Karki and Armed Police Force Nepal Inspector General Narayan Dutta Poudel.
