Kathmandu, August 31
A Nepal Army rescue team has returned from the tunnel of the Rasuwa Hydropower Project (RHPL), which was affected by flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
The Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s Secretariat said the rescue team, led by the Nepal Army, returned after finding no one inside the tunnel during the search operation.
The team had launched the search with engineers and a drone team after receiving reports that people might be trapped at the far end of the tunnel.
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the team reached the innermost section of the tunnel and used drones to conduct a thorough search but found no signs of human presence.
After confirming that no one was trapped inside, the Nepal Army team returned to Dhunche in Rasuwa.
