Trishuli-3A tunnel

Kathmandu, August 30

The Nepal Army has said that work is underway to locate the entrance to the Trishuli-3A hydropower tunnel.

A joint team, which has been stationed there temporarily since August 28 for rescue operations, has been carrying out the work. Currently, a team of 93 people, including experts, is working on-site. The Army stated that the work is being carried out using drilling machines along with excavators, hydraulic cutters, and other equipment.

Work that had been temporarily halted due to increased flood flow has now resumed. Indian and Chinese teams have also been mobilised to help excavate the tunnel.
