The Nepal Army has rescued 54 people by helicopter from the Timure, Syafrubesi, and Mailung areas.
According to Army Headquarters, 550 people were airlifted from that area by the evening of August 29, including 46 Chinese and 8 Indian nationals. Counting other areas as well, a total of 550 people were airlifted on August 29.
The flood that struck the Bhotekoshi River on August 27 devastated Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and surrounding areas.
There has been extensive loss of life and property. Rescue operations are still ongoing.
