Dhangadhi, August 19
A man has been found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest in Kailali. The deceased has been identified as Padam Bishwakarma, around 45, of Baunia, Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-3.
According to police, he was found dead in the local Laliguras community forest around 8:30 pm on Tuesday. A homemade (bharuwa) gun was also found at the site.
The Area Police Office, Sadakpur Baunia, said the wound appeared to be a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest.
Police have recovered the homemade gun found at the scene and are further investigating the case.
According to ward chair Man Rishi Acharya, it is understood that he had gone to the forest to hunt. It is not yet clear whether Bishwakarma was alone or accompanied by others.
Police said the body has been kept at Dodadhara Hospital in Baunia for a post-mortem examination.
