
Kathmandu, July 8
A total of 55 people who were stranded at the dam site of the Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project due to flooding from the Chinese side have been rescued.
According to the rescue teams from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Army, the rescue operation had saved 55 individuals by 3:30 PM on Tuesday.

Among those rescued were 4 women and 51 men. One of the rescued individuals is a Chinese national.
In addition, police reported that 18 people are still missing due to the flood, and more than 100 vehicles have been swept away.
