An 80-year-old man has been elected ward chairperson in Tripura Sundari Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchok district.
Karna Bahadur Khadka is perhaps the oldest people’s representative elected from the Sunday elections.
He won the polls from Nepali Congress in Tripura Sndari-1 by garnering 261 votes.
He defeated candidates of CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre with a margin of as wide as over 100 votes.
