Kathmandu, February 24
Police in the Sindhupalchok district in Bagmati have arrested a man on the charge of killing his wife.
Jeevan Tamang (32), a resident of Thatikuna Bankali, Balephi rural municipality-1 of the district, has been accused of killing his wife Laxmi Basnet (28) by attacking her with an axe during a minor dispute earlier this week.
Seriously injured in the attack, Basnet had died during treatment at the District Hospital in Chautara, according to police.
Following that, a team deployed from the Jalbire Area Police Post arrested him.
Further investigation is underway.
