Saptari, February 28
Three persons died in two road accidents in the Saptari district of Madhesh in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Two persons died when a car (Ba 18 Cha 6617) and a pickup truck (Province 2-02-001 Cha 0746) collided near the Bishnu temple in Kanchanrup municipality-9 of the district around 3 am today.
The victims have been identified as Raj Kumar Chaudhary (45) and Hareram Sah (40), residents of Duhabi municipality-3 of the neighbouring Sunsari district. Both were in the car when the incident occurred.
The police say 12 people have sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment at different health facilities in Biratnagar.
In another case, 1 35-year-old man, yet to be identified, died on the spot when an India-registered car hit him in Portaha, Hanumannagar Kankalini municipality-3 of the district.
Further investigation is underway.
