Kathmandu, May 15
The Election Commission has said as many as 24 local levels in 15 districts in provinces 3, 4 and 6 are yet to begin counting of votes from the local level elections held on Sunday.
The Commission has attributed the delay to various reasons including disagreements among parties and candidates, no timely delivery of ballot boxes to the vote counting centres among others.
The bodies which are yet to begin counting are in Dolakha, Ramechhap, Dhading, Sindhupalchok, Bhaktapur, Lamjung, Baglung, Myagdi, Dailekh, Salyan, Rukum, Kalikot, Dolpa, Mugu and Humla districts.
Meanwhile, the Commission said helicopters would be deployed to collect ballot boxes from remote places.
