The Nepali Army has rescued 1,500 people trapped by heavy snowfall.
Civilians stranded in Tilicho, Khangsar, Pisang, Upper Manang, and Humde areas of Manang were rescued by the army. According to the Army Headquarters, 1,500 people, including 200 foreign tourists stranded due to heavy snowfall, were evacuated.
The army said the rescue was carried out by a team dispatched from the Naya Bhairabidal Battalion in Manang, with the support of the police, Armed Police, and local residents, and the rescued individuals were brought to a safe location.
