Fifteen locals who were on a journey to play Deubsi-Bhailo on the occasion of the annual Tihar festival have sustained injuries when a tractor that they were riding met with an accident in Isma rural municipality of Gulmi district on Sunday evening.
Four of the injured are said to be critical. They are undergoing treatment at a health facility in neighbouring Palpa district, according to police. Others’ condition is normal and they are admitted to local health facilities.
SP Rajendra Singh Khadka of Gulmi District Police Office says the tractor (Lu 3 Ta 402) heading towards Chaurasi from Bulma had fallen off the road in Isma-6.
The driver of the vehicle is on the run after the accident and police have launched a manhunt.
