13 Nepali women being trafficked to Africa rescued in India

Kathmandu, December 25

Thirteen Nepali women, who were allegedly being smuggled to Africa to work in dance bars there, have been rescued in India and brought to Nepal.

According to Nepali Janasamparka Samti, the Nepali women were rescued from cities such as Ahmedabad and Bangalore. They were brought to Kathmandu on Tuesday with help from the Nepali embassy in New Delhi and Home Ministry.

Samit members, who came to Kathmandu with the women, said that they will file complaints against groups involved in forging documents to traffic Nepali women to Africa.
