The Investment Board Nepal says it is preparing proposals for over two dozen big projects that the government will pitch in front of potential donors and investors during the investment summit.

The government is planning to host the summit in Kathmandu next month in its fresh bid to attract more foreign direct investment so as to boost economic development in the country.

The Board’s spokesperson Uttam Bhakta Wagle says the investments will be sought for projects of energy, tourism, agricultural procession, information technology, transport, waste management and infrastructure construction sectors.

The detailed plans of the proposed projects will be launched soon.

He informs that around 300 delegates representing various governments and donor agencies will be invited to the meeting.

The Board has already begun sending invitations in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The government had hosted a similar meeting two years ago also.
