Nepal Communist Party begins discussion on party regulation

The ruling Nepal Communist Party has begun a discussion on the draft of regulation a task force has prepared for the functioning of the new communist party formed after the merger of two political forces of the country.

A meeting of the party’s Central Secretariat begun the discussion this morning and it will continue tomorrow as well, according to the party leaders.

The meeting was held to primarily discuss the report prepared by the task force formed to review the party’s regulation.

According to the party’s Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, things are yet to get finalised. Therefore, another meeting will be held to finalise the report, according to him.

Meanwhile, the meeting has also decided to speed up the merger process of sister organisations after finalising the party regulation.

Earlier on Saturday, the party had assigned leaders Bamdev Gautam and Ram Bahadur Thapa, and General Secretary Bishnu Paudel to review the regulation and prepare necessary suggestions.

The meeting scheduled for tomorrow will also discuss the current political scenario of the country.
