Kathmandu, December 28
A meeting of the National Assembly (NA), the upper house of the Federal Parliament, has formed a committee to amend the NA regulations.
The committee comprises Jitendra Narayan Dev, Jeevan Budha, Dil Kumari Rawal (Parbati), Parshuram Meghi Gurung, Pramila Kumari, Ram Narayan Bidari, Bidya Devi Rana, Brishesh Chandra Lal and Sher Bahadur Kunwar.
During Friday’s meeting, lawmaker Dinanath Sharma presented the proposal to form a committee. Sharma’s proposal was backed by lawmakers Ramchandra Rai and Anita Devkota.
The meeting also endorsed the proposal to send the Passport bill to the relevant committee for consideration. Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali presented the proposal before the meeting.
The Upper House will meet again on January 4.
