Kavre Police have arrested a man who allegedly carried out a ‘syringe attack’ in Banepa on Monday.
District Police Chief SP Jaya Raj Sapkota informed that they have arrested Khagendra Prasad Pathak from Syangja. Pathak was taken to the police station by locals who picketed the office in Banepa demanding action against Pathak.
“We have arrested him on suspicion. We are carrying out an investigation,” added SP Sapkota.
After the irked public started to beat Pathak, police have taken him to the police office in Tin Dobato whereas the women who were attacked by the syringe have been taken to Shir Memorial Hospital.
Pathak has told the police that he did not attack the women.
