Xiaomi Watch S1 Active has been launched in Nepal recently.
The smartwatch was launched along with the Xiaomi 12 series smartphone in the global market last month, yet it arrived in Nepal recently. Along with Watch S1 Active, Xiaomi also launched Watch S1, a premium version of the two. However, only S1 active has been released here.
Xiaomi Watch S1 Active offers plenty of handy features to the users. The newly launched smartwatch features a high-resolution AMOLED display which supports a higher refresh rate. The user also has the option to choose multiple watch faces and has a lightweight and durable body. The watch also offers a Bluetooth phone call feature and many more.

Xiaomi Watch S1 Active is the lighter alternative compared to the Watch S1. This watch weighs around 36.3 grams without the strap while weighs just over 50 grams with the silicone strap. Talking about the build of the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active, the case of the watch is made out of fibreglass-reinforced polyamide. The watch has two physical buttons on the right side. One of the buttons takes to the home and opens the app menu while the other is customisable and takes the users to the different sports modes.

Xiaomi claims the watch accurately monitors and analyses key data points such as heart rate, average pace, and calories burnt, making the workouts more efficient.
The users have the option to customise the settings to access their favourite sports mode with just one click of the sports button. The watch also has auto-detection of the treadmill, outdoor running, cycling, hiking, trekking, yoga, etc.

Xiaomi Watch S1 Active runs on Proprietary OS and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. However, the device needs to have either Android 6.0 or higher or iOS 10.0 or higher to be compatible with the watch. Users can download the Mi Fitness app and check daily health statistics, such as heart rate, fitness, and sleep. The stats are shown in detail to provide a clear picture of the user’s health. The user also has the option to add various health plans to develop habits of self-discipline. The watch also supports syncing data with Strava and Apple Health.
Xiaomi Watch S1 Active has a wireless connectivity option of Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.2. The watch also features a built-in dual-band GNSS chip which supports five major satellite positioning systems: GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. This helps the watch achieve faster and more accurate positioning.
The watch is powered by a 470mAh battery. The battery can last up to 12 days under typical usage mode, 24 days under battery saver mode and up to 30 hours in GPS mode. The watch gets fully charged in about 2.5 hours through magnetic pin charging.

Xiaomi Watch S1 Active offers plenty of other useful features as well. The watch has a built-in microphone and speakers and gives notifications of incoming calls or notifications. The watch supports Bluetooth phone calls as well. Similarly, if the user is in an emergency situation, they can just click the side button on the bottom right-hand corner three times in a row to quickly dial their emergency contact. The user needs to preset the emergency contact in the app and the device must be kept connected to the phone’s Bluetooth for this function to work.
