Kathmandu, December 1
The Election Commission has announced that voting for the vacant positions in local bodies has nearly concluded, with a preliminary voter turnout estimated at 62%.
According to Assistant Spokesperson Durga Prasad Chalise, most polling stations have completed voting. “The voting process is nearly over, with an initial estimate of 62% voter turnout,” he said.
Chalise confirmed that reports indicate voting has concluded in most areas and no ongoing voting is reported due to long queues. “It appears voting ended before the scheduled time, and there is no information suggesting polling continued due to waiting lines,” he added.
