US govt gives 100 ventilators to Nepal

The United States government has handed over 100 ventilators to Nepal as its assistance to Nepal’s Covid-19 response.

The US Ambassador to Nepal, Randy Berry, handed over the equipment to Health Minister Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal in the ministry on Friday.

On the occasion, Berry said the support would help Nepal treat patients in remote parts of the country.

Likewise, Dhakal said the government would provide seven ventilators to each of the provincial social development ministries. The remaining 51 ventilators would be kept at various government hospitals across the country.
