Kathmandu, May 15
As the counting of votes from local level elections held in provinces 3, 4 and 6 has continued, the main opposition CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress are leading in most of the places.
So far, the UML has claimed victory in two rural municipalities–Chame and Nesyang–in Manang district. The party had won She Phoksundo Rural Municipality in Dolpa district unanimously.
Likewise, the Nepali Congress had also won Narphu Rural Municipality in Manang district unanimously.
The CPN-Maoist Centre and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party are lagging at third and fourth positions in most of the places.
