Udayapur, December 18
Police arrested a 40-year-old man of Triyuga municipality-11 in Udayapur district on charge of raping his 13-year-old daughter.
According to the District Police Office, the man was held on the charge of repeatedly raping his daughter.
The DPO Chief SP Bhim Prasad Dahal shares an investigation has been initiated against the alleged after his arrest. Before that, the police had received a complaint against him.
Police say medical checkups of the alleged victim were conducted in the District Hospital.
Meanwhile, two parents and a newly-wed couple were arrested in the district on the charge of child marriage.
Pushpa Koirala of Triyuga municipality-3, Radha Khadka of Tapli rural municipality-5 and newlyweds Ashwin Koirala and Goma Khadka were held.
SP Dahal says that all the four were nabbed as a complaint was lodged at the police on child marriage.
Police said that 16-year-old Goma and 23-year-old Ashwin were secretly married off by their parents on December 4 in Katari of the district.
