Two killed in Bajura jeep fall

Kathmandu, July 19

Two persons died and 11 others sustained injuries when a jeep on its way to Jitegada of Kalikot district in Karnali provide fell off the road at Juwakhola, Jagannath-5 of Bajura district in Sudurpaschim province.

Ramesh Bogati, 26, from Tikapur-4 of Kailali and Ram Bahadur Shahi, 24, from Khatyad-6 of Mugu died when the four-wheeler (Ka 1 Ja 21) fell off the road, according to DSP Uddhav Singh Bhat of the Bajura District Police Office.

Bogati was driving the vehicle while it met with the accident at around 8:30 am on Friday.

Meanwhile, four of the injured are said to be critical. They have been airlifted to Nepalgunj for further treatment.

The rest are being treated at Kolti Health Centre in Bajura.

DSP Singh blamed the weak condition of road for the crash. He, however, said further investigations would reveal exact causes of the accident.
