Two held with 63 mobile phones without invoices

Police have arrested two people with 63 mobile phones allegedly being sold or supplied without invoices.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, Dipak Prasain was arrested on a tip-off that he was selling mobile phones without official trade records. He was arrested from Hakimchowk in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10.

The phones Prasain was selling were of various brands, including Apple, Samsung, Redmi and Vivo. Police also seized technical accessories used with the mobile phones, according to Chandra Bhusan Yadav, information officer at the District Police Office.

Similarly, 28-year-old Umnand Bhusal was arrested for allegedly supplying mobile phones without invoices. He was arrested from Ramnagar in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1, and five mobile phones were seized from him.

Prasain and Bhusal were arrested two days ago.

Both have been handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office for further legal action. The seized mobile phones and accessories have also been handed over to the customs office.
