Chitwan, August 5
A truck laden with energy drink ‘Red Bull’ plunged into the Trishuli River from Jalbire of Narayangarh-Muglin road section in Chitwan district in the wee hours of Monday.
According to the District Police Office, the truck (Na 5 Kha 5413) en route to Kathmandu from Birgunj veered off the road and plunged into the river at around 2:30 am this morning.
The truck fell around 70 metres down the road at Jalbire, Ichhakamana rural municipality-6 after it lost balance. Search for the truck is underway.
Police have said the truck driver Mukesh Chaudhary, 32, of Chakarghatta rural municipality-5, Sarlahi managed to jump off the truck.
Police said no human casualty took place as there was no one inside the truck except the driver.
