Kathmandu, February 26
Newly elected House of Representatives member from Kailali-1, Resham Lal Chaudhary, has surrendered himself to the Kailali District Court on Monday.
A suspect behind the 2015 Tikapur killing, Chaudhary is on the most wanted list of Nepal Police. He was fleeing since then. Therefore, he has not acquired his election certificate yet.
Earlier, Chaudhary had applied to the Supreme Court through a representative that he be allowed to receive the certificate through the representative. The Court, however, refused to issue an order in his favour.
Despite his surrender, Chaudhary has been refusing his involvement in the incident that killed a child and seven police personnel.
