Apple has unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, introducing a new design, larger display and several new features.
Here are the key things to know:
1. A 7.6-inch foldable display
The iPhone Duo opens into a 7.6-inch inner display — the largest screen ever featured on an iPhone.
2. A 5.4-inch display when folded
When closed, the phone has a 5.4-inch outer display and is designed to remain compact enough for one-handed use.
3. Two apps can run side by side
iOS 27 introduces Split View, allowing users to run two apps simultaneously. Users can also open two windows of the same app.
4. 48MP cameras and new photography features
The Duo comes with a 48MP Fusion Main camera, 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera and 2x optical-quality Telephoto. Its folding design also enables features such as Duo Preview and Smart Take.
5. A new AI-powered Siri
Siri AI can understand what is displayed on the screen, work with information across apps and use personal context to assist users.
6. Titanium body and IP68 rating
Apple says the phone is built with grade 5 titanium, Ceramic Shield protection and a redesigned hinge. It is also rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.
7. It starts at $1,999
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the US for the 256GB model.
Pre-orders begin October 16, with sales starting October 23.
