Hetaunda, July 26
Province 3 Chief Minister Dor Mani Paudel recommended senior advocate Om Prasad Thapaliya for the position of Chief Attorney of the province.
The Chief Attorney will be the legal advisor of the Chief Minister and the provincial government, according to the constitution.
The position was vacant since incumbent Surya Chandra Nyaupane resigned from the position in the first week of June.
A resident of Kalanki, Kathmandu, Thapaliya is practising law for past three decades. He was given the title of senior advocate two years ago.
He was a member of the discipline commission of the then CPN-UML. He has done masters in political science and law.
The Province Chief (Governor) will appoint him to the position following the recommendation.
