Bhaktapur, February 5
A teenager accused of sexually assaulting a five-year-old in Bhaktapur, has been arrested, police said.
According to Bhaktapur police, 18-year-old Basanta Tamang, who hails from Lalitpur Bungmati, was arrested on charge of assaulting a minor in Kamalbinayak on Monday.
Police said that the accused took the child to his room, where he was living alone, and assaulted her. He was arrested following a complaint by the girl’s parents.
Police say an investigation is underway.
