Kathmandu, May 3
The Constitutional Council on Wednesday recommended that Tanka Mani Sharma be appointed the Auditor General.
Sharma is currently working as a secretary at the Officer of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
The position was vacant since June 2016, when the then Auditor General Bhanu Prasad Acharya resigned 16 days before his retirement.
Sharma, as the chief of a constitutional body, will be appointed by the President after the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee endorses his name.
