Kathmandu, January 13
Police in Kathmandu have arrested a man who identified himself as a tantric swami for his alleged involvement in a fraud case.
Deepak Bhandari alias Shivananda Swami was arrested by a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division, informs the division chief SSP Sahakul Bahadur Thapa.
Bhandari collected money from some of his followers by assuring that he would send the victims to the Chez Republic, according to police. Four of the victims filed a complaint, but there can be other victims also, claim the investigators.
Further investigation is underway.
