Butwal police at once have arrested around 150 people on fraud charges.
Seven of these people have been identified as operators of call centres used to facilitate the fraudulent activities.
They had rented three flats at local Janakinagar to trap gullible people into paying money for lottery and other scams, according to police.
DSP Thag Bahadur KC, the chief of Area Police Office says the police arrested operators and staff of the call centres on the charge.
Further investigation is underway.
