A seven-year-old girl from Dhapkhark of Lekbeshi municipality-1 in the Surkhet district of Karnali was found murdered.
Police found the dead with her throat slit.
The Lekbeshi Area Police Office informs the seven-year-old daughter of local Gagan Bahadur Sunar was found dead 500 metres away from home, says the Karnali Provincial Police Office spokesperson Madhav Prasad Shrestha. The girl had left home for a local grocery at 10:00 am Sunday.
As she did not return home from a nearby grocery for a long time, the family informed the police at 9:00 am Monday. Immediately after receiving the information, a police team led by Inspector Chakra Bahadur Deuba had begun the search for the missing girl.
The investigation bureau of Karnali Province Police including DSP Padam Bahadur Bista of the District Police Office has been investigating the murder.
