The VDC secretaries on agitation have threatened to padlock the DDC office if they do not have the allowance deposited in their bank accounts within three days.

Receiving the seals and a statement from the agitating VDC secretaries, LDO Shrestha asked them not to launch a protest as incessant rains in the district have increased possibility of landslides, putting people at high risk. Pashupati Pokharel of VDC Welfare Protection Centre (Solukhumbu), said launching a movement was the only option they had.
