Kathmandu, December 13
Flights to and from mountainous and high hilly districts of western Nepal have been affected due to adverse weather. Many districts in western Nepal have received snowfall on Friday morning.
Chief of Nepalgunj airport in Banke district, Prem Nath Thakur, says a Summit Air aeroplane carried a flight to Dolpa this evening, but could not return to Nepalgunj. Likewise, flights to Simikot and Rara have been put off since Thursday.
However, no flights to Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi from Kathmandu have been obstructed, according to officials. The Tribhuvan International Airport Office in Kathmandu says recent weather change has not affected its schedule.
