Kathmandu, September 16
A total of six plays have been selected to be staged during the National Drama Festival being organised on the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of senior dramatist Hari Prasad Rimal.
A total of 32 plays from all over the country had competed to participate in the festival organised by Hariprasad Kalyani Rimal Natya Sangeet Academy at the Rastriya Naachghar in Jamal, Kathmandu from Sunday. The plays will be presented until tomorrow.
The top three plays will win a cash prize of Rs 100,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively. Established in the year 2065 BS, the Foundation has been honoring creators who have contributed in the fields of art, literature, communications and drama every year.
