An Enigma to be staged from Tuesday

An Enigma

Sadbhawa Theatre is all set to stage the play An Enigma, directed by Ram K.A.C, starting Tuesday, July 16, at the National Theatre, Jamal, Kathmandu.

According to the makers, An Enigma explores a harsh reality where dreaming is forbidden, compelling dreamers to either silence themselves or navigate a desolate wasteland. The play reflects the uncertain lives of those who, despite holding citizenship, remain unsure of their place in the country.

An Enigma portrays the stories that have been seen, heard, and read on stage,” said K.A.C, the director of the play.

The play will feature solo actor Kiran Chapagain.

K.A.C further said that transforming distorted noises into harmonious music is undoubtedly challenging.

“Experiencing both comfort and discomfort while working is common, and it is the discomfort that sharpens our willpower, pricks our consciousness, and gives rise to the voices.”

An Enigma will run through July 22, with daily performances at 5:30 pm at the National Theatre, Jamal, Kathmandu. There will be an additional show on Saturday at 1:30 pm.
