Personnel from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department, civil servants and teachers who were killed in the line of duty during the armed conflict have been declared as martyrs.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar today took the decision. The Cabinet also decided to extend the term of the Commission on Investigation of Disappeared Persons and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission by one year, according to government spokesperson and Communications Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet.
Minister Basnet also shared that the meeting decided to extend the term of the High-level Education Commission by four months.
