Nepal’s young cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has become the first Nepali player to play the Indian Premier League as Delhi Daredevils bought him for IRs 2 million during the auction held in Bangalore of India today.
The Indian capital’s team was ready to engage him by paying the base price set for him.
Now, the 17-year-old will play for the team during the tournament.
Meanwhile, the club on its Twitter page says it is happy to welcome the leg-spinner to the team.
