A motorcyclist has died after being hit by a truck in the Mayadevi rural municipality-8 of the Rupandehi district in Lumbini on Monday.
The victim is yet to be identified, but the man appears to be in his mid-20s, informs the Provincial District Police Office.
Riding on a two-wheeler (Lu 50 Pa 6031), the man was hit by the truck (Na 3 Kha 4219) at Mayadevi Chok.
Seriously injured in the incident, he was rushed to the Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa, where he died during treatment.
Police have arrested the truck driver for further investigation.
