Butwal, February 7
Three people died when a running car hit a stationary truck at Tamnagar, Butwal of the Rupandehi district in Lumbini, on Monday morning.
Two others travelling in the car are injured.
The car (Lu 3 Cha 4442) had hit the truck (Lu 3 Cha 4442) parked on the roadside along the East-West Highway.
One person died on the spot and two breathed their last during treatment, according to police. Two other injured are undergoing treatment at the Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal, Rupandehi.
The Butwal Area Police Office says the victims and the injured are yet to be identified.
Reportedly, the car was carrying a newlywed couple. The car’s front has been destroyed in the accident.
