Nepal has received Rs 809.89 billion in remittance sent by the country’s migrant workers located in various countries of the world in the past 10 months (mid-July 2020 till mid-May 2021).

The Nepal Rastra Bank, releasing details of the country’s financial status as of the end of the first 10 months of the fiscal year, says the country’s earning in remittance in the period is 19.2 per cent more than the remittance received in the same period last fiscal year.

In the period last year, the amount had recorded a decline apparently due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the country witnessed an exciting rise this year again despite the continuity of the crisis.
