Rautahat doctor gets dismissed for denying services

Rautahat, June 12

A medical officer from Maulapur municipality of Rautahat was dismissed for lack of responsible work during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The dismissed officer Dr Hari Shankar Prasad was employed in a primary healthcare office in Pataura of the municipality, informs the municipality’s Administrative Chief Sikendra Sah.

Prasad was dismissed for refusing to attend the people in quarantine camps set up in the municipality as well as failing to do his duty properly and failing to give a proper explanation when inquired.

Sah informs that Prasad was appointed in the municipality some three months ago and his term was coming to an end after a month.

Rautaha has reported 531 Covid-19 cases with 102 recovery cases.
