4 killed in Rautahat car crash

Four persons have died in a car crash at Junkhunuwa, Yamunamai rural municipality-5 of the Rautahat district in southern Nepal, on Saturday night.

An India-registered car had veered off the road and fallen into a roadside pit at around 10 pm yesterday. Four people were brought out of the crashed vehicle (UK 12 C 2900) by breaking its windows and taken to a nearby hospital, but the doctors declared them dead.

Two of the victims have been identified as Arun Sah and Dinanath Sah, residents of the Bakhari Betauna in Bihar of India whereas two other men are yet to be identified.

SP Binod Ghimire says the Indian police have been informed of the accident.
