Police in Ramechhap district of central Nepal arrested a woman on the charge of killing her 65-year-old father-in-law.
The suspect has been identified as Parvati Achhami, a resident of Gelu, Manthali municipality-12. The District Court remanded her to custody on Tuesday and police have begun an investigation.
Earlier, her husband’s father, Dik Bahadur, was found dead in his house. After receiving information from the locals, the police had gone to the incident site and suspected that he was murdered. Based on the preliminary probe, police then concluded that Parvati was involved in the crime, informs inspector Ravi Bhushan Yadav. He says the suspect had fatally hit the sexagenarian with a wooden log.
Further investigation is underway.
