Kailali, June 3
The Province 7 government is preparing to bring the budget of Rs 25 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2018/19.
According to the provincial Minister for Financial Affairs and Planning, Jhapat Bohara, the government will add some more amount to the budget that the central government has allocated and announce the budget of Rs 25 billion.
The central government has allocated Rs 14.25 billion for Province 7. Remaining amount will be generated from internal revenues.
As per the constitutional provision, the provincial government must bring forward the annual budget plan by mid-June every year.
Stating that the budget unveiled by the central government was insufficient to cover all area, Minister Bohara said that the ceiling of budget should be increased.
The Minister further said he was committed to making the province independent in agricultural sector in the next five years.
